Chris Brown investigated for possible assault
CHRIS BROWN: PROBATION ORDERED REVIEWED
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A judge in Los Angeles says she will take a close look at Chris Brown's records to make sure he has kept up with the terms of his probation. The singer received a five-year probation stint for his beating of Rihanna in 2009 -- back when they were dating. Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg handled the hearing yesterday -- but said she needed more time to look over the paperwork in the case. She noted that the community service logs from Brown's home state of Virginia were "somewhat cryptic" -- and she wanted to examine them further. There were a few other issues that were raised, but they don't appear to be major issues in Brown's probation. For example, there was the club fight between his entourage and that of Drake this summer. And a woman in Miami claimed Brown snatched her cell phone after she tried to take his picture. Both incidents produced bad publicity -- but no charges. The judge reminded Brown to be careful about his conduct -- because he is both famous and on probation.
