(CBS News) -- CBS will mark the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ first appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show” next year with a two-hour special.

“The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles” will feature some of today’s leading artists covering songs performed by the Fab Four. The special will also include footage from “The Ed Sullivan Show,” along with other archival material. Celebrity presenters will be on hand to introduce some of the highlights.

The special will air on Feb. 9, exactly 50 years to the day the Beatles graced Sullivan’s stage—in the same time slot and on the same network. It’s still considered one of the most historic live events on TV.

Performers will be announced soon.
