LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A special little girl who met Taylor Swift at her concert in Kentucky is back in the hospital.

Rose Russell suffers from a condition that leads to strokes and she met Swift thanks to a meeting back in May arranged by the Dream Factory. Less than a month after that meeting, Rose was back in the hospital and has been there ever since.

“She’s had 10 strokes and she’s bounced back every time, pretty good, and now her body is breaking down in other parts, and we’re hoping she can fight this one off too. Uh, it just, uh, she’s been through a lot, she’s a tough kid,” Rose’s dad, Dave Russell, said.

She is set to travel to a specialized center for additional tests this week, then she will return to Kosair Children’s Hospital.

Rose’s father said his daughter is trying to hang tough and he is, too. He said he has only worked about two months this year because of Rose’s illness.

A fund has been set up at Fifth Third Bank in Rose Russell’s name if you would like to help, just contact any branch.
