NEW YORK – The teen idols known as One Direction took on the Big Apple in a concert this week.
Two years ago the members of the group had never even met. Now this boy band’s album debuted at number one in the U.S. The five boys hit the stage Monday night at one of the world’s most famous venues: Madison Square Garden.
Thousands of teen girls flocked to the concert with parents and homemade posters in tow. Those with a ticket were lucky. Venue officials said the show sold out within minutes.
Even those without a pass to get inside managed to get a sneak peak at what was going on as concert goers uploaded video to YouTube.
