HOUSTON – A Houston radio station has come to the rescue of a mom and her 7-year-old daughter who were devastated to learn their Justin Bieber concert tickets are fake.

Yajaira Covarrubias is a single mother of two who decided to splurge on the tickets because her daughter, MaKayla, is a big Bieber fan.

She found the tickets on Craigslist and agreed to meet the buyer at The Woodlands Mall. A man who said his name was Michael Miller sold her the tickets for $300.

When Covarrubias saw a story on KHOU about a Fort Worth grandmother who bought bogus Bieber tickets from a man with the same name, she got worried. She quickly discovered her tickets were fake, too, and the seats listed on them don’t even exist at Toyota Center.

"You’re messing with a little girl’s dreams," Covarrubias said.

After employees at HOT 95.7 saw our story, they invited Covarrubias and her daughter to their studio. They also surprised them with a gift: two real tickets to Bieber’s concert and an autographed CD.

MaKayla, clearly overwhelmed, simply smiled and said "thank you."

MaKayla and her mom will appear on "The Hot Show" on HOT 95.7 at around 7:30 Friday morning.

Police are still trying to track down the man who’s been selling the fake tickets.
