(KMOV.com) – The Federal Census is usually taken once every 10 years. However, one St. Peters family has been dealing with census takers over and over for five years.

Even when the family moved, the Census takers tracked them down at their new home.

“They hunted me down and started knocking on my door here and were curious as to why I moved” said Chris Burgess. “[They wanted to know] how long I’d been here, you know, and they’d been looking for me.”

After half a decade trying to get the U.S. Census Bureau off his back, front porch and phone line, Burgess called News 4’s Mike Colombo.
