No purchase is necessary to enter or win. You must be at least 21 years or older and a U.S. citizen to participate. Void where prohibited by law. Limit: one entry per person. One prize package will be awarded each week for 32 weeks. A contestant can win only one weekly prize package. Contestants cannot be under contract with any recording studio. All weekly winners and some other competitors will appear in the Saturday night show “Harrah’s Lucky Break” on KMOV Channel 4 at 10:35-11:35 p.m. No contestant is guaranteed to air in the televised show.

HOW TO ENTER:

Auditions for appearing in Harrah’s Lucky Break 2008 will be held each Wednesday in January and February at Harrah’s Casino – St. Louis. Audition dates are: Wed. Jan.2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and February 6, 13, 20 and 2, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. 12 contestants will be pre-chosen for each of the 32 weekly show tapings at these auditions. Additionally, two “wild card” contestants will be added each Wednesday night before the live showing taping at Harrah’s Casino - St. Louis VooDoo Lounge. The Wild Card contestants are from a pool of entries submitted on a Wednesday night; names are drawn from all potential contestants who are present at the time of the drawing at 7:30 p.m.

No responsibility is assumed by KMOV, KMOV.com, Belo Interactive, Inc., Belo Corp. Harrah’s Casino, Clear Channel Entertainment (hereafter collectively "Contest Providers") for lost, late, ineligible, misdirected, or illegible entries or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur.

Each week the FIRST runner up of each regular season show (1/23/08 – 9/10/08 only) will become a wildcard contestant for the play off rounds. Viewers may go to any Clear Channel radio station website and vote in their favorite FIRST runner up to be one of 8 wildcard runner up contestants in the 2008 play off’s. In the event of a weekly tie for first runner up, both runner up contestants will be entering into the voting.

DEADLINES:

The final deadline for entering the random, weekly, Wild Card drawings for contestants is at 7:30 p.m. on August 30, 2006. All first-round winners will be contacted by the show’s producers about upcoming performance dates in subsequent rounds of the competition.

WINNER SELECTION:

Harrah’s Lucky Break judges will choose the weekly singers/contestants who will be offered the opportunity to tape an episode of Harrah’s Lucky Break. No applicant is guaranteed the opportunity to be in a show; applicants chosen to perform in a show taping are completely at the producers’ discretion. Limit: applicants can be first-round contestants, taped and aired on KMOV only one time in the 2008 edition of Harrah’s Lucky Break. Contestants from previous year’s tapings of Harrah’s Lucky Break are eligible to compete again.

CRITERIA:
The choice of singers to be chosen as contestants in “Harrah’s Lucky Break” is completely at the sole discretion of the producers. The Producers and official Judges (who are chosen from a rotating pool of judges supplied by Clear Channel Radio) may use the following criteria to choose contestants and to evaluate each singer’s performance. Producers and Official Judges may use some or all of the following criteria in their evaluations:

Appearance
Talent
Singing skill
Stage presence
Vocal Clarity
Potential to entertain an audience
Crowd appeal
The overall impression of the applicant

NOTE: The shows producers will schedule auditions with contestants prior to the taping dates. On the night of each show taping, the show’s producers will decide between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. the line-up of singers for that night’s taping. The producers and judges’ decision on the evaluation of each contestant is final. Participants agree to accept the judges’ decision. No change can be made to a contestant’s score after the contestant is judged.

Playoff Round Winners:

4 different playoff round winners will compete each night for eight weeks. (32 total playoff contestants).
New this season: the first runner up in each episode of Harrah’s Lucky Break will be put into a viewer’s popular vote on all St. Louis Clear Channel websites. Viewers can vote 8 total contestants back into the playoffs, one singer to be added to each of 8 playoff shows.
Each playoff round winner will receive: An overnight stay at Harrah’s and dinner in the VooDoo Lounge.

Grand Prize Winner:

One grand prize winner will receive a trip for two people to Harrah’s Atlantic City to audition before several record company representatives. The trip includes two nights hotel at Harrah’s Casino-in either Nashville or Las Vegas, and round-trip airline tickets from St. Louis.Trip does not include ground travel to and from the airport in St. Louis. (Value: approximately $1,700.00, contingent on room and airfare rates at the time of booking).

Additional enhancements may be added to the grand prize package.

Contest providers reserve the right to substitute prizing of equal of higher value.

The Contest is open to United States citizens who are 21 years or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Contest Providers, including, but not limited to KMOV, KMOV.com, Belo Interactive, Inc., Belo Corp., Harrah’s Casino, Clear Channel Radio, and their respective subsidiaries, parents, partners, other contest sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies and the immediate family members of each, are not eligible to win.

USE OF CONTEST INFORMATION:

Notwithstanding any contrary provision in any of Contest Providers' respective privacy policies, Contestants grant to Contest Providers, and Contest Providers reserve, the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information provided by Contestants in connection with the Contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law. Contestants will be required to sign a release, which grants to Contest Providers the right to use and publish their proper name and state of residence online or in any other media in connection with the Contest. By accepting a prize, winner(s) will be required to sign a release that grants permission to Contest Providers to use his or her name, photograph, likeness, voice, prize information and/or biographical information for publicity and promotional purposes without future compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Contest Providers, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or any prize won. Indicate KMOV Harrah’s Lucky Break “Rules Request" or KMOV Harrah’s Lucky Break “Winners List" on the outside of the envelope as applicable. Limit: one (1) request per envelope. The request must include the name of the contest. Winners List will be available five (5) days after the winners are confirmed.
