Lane restrictions on I-44 as crews repave stretch of highway

(KMOV) -- Drivers can expect lane closures on Interstate 44 starting today.

Crews have begun a major repaving project to repair grooves and potholes between I-270 and Murdoch.

A couple lanes will be closed at a time starting from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. the rest of this week.

The project is expected to be complete by the end of the month.
