(KMOV) -- Two local eighth graders are working together to end bullying in their school, and beyond.
Joey Goldman and Megan Mudd helped raise more than $4000 to bring an emotional program called Rachel's Challenge to Parkway Northeast Middle School.
"Some people don't know that bullying goes on in the halls, of course it does," Goldman said. "And some don't understand the definition of bullying, think that it just might be joking around."
Rachel's Challenge, inspired by a student killed in the Columbine High School shootings, aims to start a chain reaction of kindness and compassion.
Megan and Joey hope the presentation they helped fund and the addition of a "Friends of Rachel" club will have a ripple effect that spreads outside of school.
