Just heard from Adam's mother. He's getting out of Egypt before more protests that could get even more dangerous on Friday. He'll be arriving in St. Louis Friday evening. Good news.
(KMOV)-- A week ago I reported about the St. Louis area teen who headed to Cairo to study abroad the day protests and tensions escalated to out of control violence. The university Adam Dieab was going to attend isn't even open.
I've stayed in touch with his mother through email. The latest is:
"Unfortunately, Adam is still in Egypt. We are unsure as to when we can bring him home," said his mother Pamela.
In the meantime he's relatively safe staying with extended family in Suez.
We'll keep you posted on his situation and hope to talk to him when he finally does get home.
