St. Charles County may soon become the first area in the country to ban bicyclists.
Monday night, a county councilman introduced a bill that would restrict cyclists from riding on five major county roads. Those roads include: Highway D, Highway DD, Highway Z, Highway F and Highway 94 South of Interstate 64. Bill 3620 says that cyclists will be banned along these roads until shoulders are built along those roads.
What do you think about the proposal?
St. Charles County recent acquired $10 million to build shoulders. Construction is expected to begin next year.
