This morning, a volunteer Boy Scout leader with his family discovered a woman with her hands loosely bound, partly clothed, in a creekbed in Forest Park. The woman told police she'd been raped and assaulted at a separate location then dumped in the park.
All this hours before 20 thousand Boy Scouts, leaders, and relatives arrive for the every ten year celebration of Scouting. They're camping out in the park and having tons of events this weekend. Now, police tell us the woman is providing "different details" about what happened and about her relationship to the alleged attacker.
Police say they will get to the bottom of this, but in the meantime, the Scouts are here to have productive, wholesome, and educational fun. They say they feel for the woman and will pray for her, but they are not fearful.
