(KMOV) -- Pine Lawn Police released new information on Monday about two homicides that happened on June 16. The first occurred around 9:30 in the morning. A 26-year-old was shot four times - once in the head and three times in the chest.
Police said on Monday that the victim was lured to his death. He and suspect had a past, and the alleged shooter, Devarick Thompson, asked the victim, Joey Richmond, to meet him at a home on Ravenwood in Pine Lawn to patch up their relationship.
There is a nationwide search tonight for Thompson; he was last seen on June 16. He is wanted for first degree murder.
The second murder happened later in the day. Police now say Brian Brooks was targeted because he encouraged his son to tell detectives what he knew about Richmond’s death.
Thompson’s step-father, Edro Odum, is charged with murdering Brooks. Police say he confessed to the crime.
