Governor Jay Nixon says 500 million dollars must be cut from the state's budget.  Cutting that much money will be painful, and some of the groups slated for the cuts are already howling and receiving compromises.  There are other measures the Governor is suggesting to save money.  One is to do away with three holidays.  He says Missouri can save 1.2 million dollars by elminating Harry Truman's birthday as a holiday.  He says there are a number of state operations that are 24/7 and Missouri pays comp time to those employees.  What do you think?  Should the buck, or the holiday stop here?
