It's the night before Thanksgiving and while many of us are preparing to see family and friends, Sherry Brown's family, is desperately searching for their sister.

Sherry is 57 years old and, according to her family, schizophrenic.  She functions well on medication:  she drives and keeps her own apartment.  Her family says she has never disappeared.

She spent several weeks in the hospital and was released last Wednesday.  A family member picked her up and took her to her brother's home in Wildwood.  Sherry left her brother's home in her own car a little after 8 pm. and was headed to her apartment in Maryland Heights.  She never made it.

Thursday morning, police found Sherry's car in a large culvert off of Lackland (near Page Ave).  Sherry's suitcase that she'd brought with her from the hospital was still in the car.  There was no sign of Sherry.

St. Louis County Police, this week, issued a missing person's alert.  The Missouri Highway Patrol also put out an alert.

If anyone sees Sherry, call 911 immediately or call St. Louis County Police at 314-889-2341.

Sherry is about five feet and six inches tall.  She weighs around 260 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Sherry didn't have medication on her.  It's been a week now and her family is concerned about her state of mind.  She may not answer to her name and may be combative around strangers.
