ST. LOUIS (KMOV)--RPM Auto Repair sits directly across the street from the now destroyed Sports Attic at 8212 Manchester Road.

News 4's Mark Schnyder talked to a couple of employees at RPM who said they got take-out food from there for years and really liked it.

The owner of RPM, Rudy Cavataio says, he feels terrible for the owners and employees of the Sports Attic. He says they're good people and the food was great.

"A lot of local people went in there and had lunch. It was just a great local, home town bar and kinda reminded you of Cheers," Cavataio said while standing in his auto repair garage. "Real good place and it's sad to see it's gone and hopefully they'll get it put back together."

There's never a good time for something like this to happen, but for sports bars this is money time. With Cardinals season just underway and Blues in the playoffs, lots of people come in to eat, drink and watch.

"A few of their clients came in and supported us and we supported them," said Cavataio.

Mark Schnyder is a reporter at KMOV-TV.
