It's hard to believe, but the IRS is now contacting people to let them know may be entitled to more stimulus money. A South County called News 4 after he received that letter from the IRS. At first, he thought the IRS wanted him to repay his stimulus money, but was relieved to find out it was the other way around; the IRS wanted to cut him a check. When all is said and done the IRS will send him a check for 6 hundred dollars. An IRS spokesperson tells me other taxpayers in our area may have received a similar letter and are encouraged to contact the IRS to hash out their individual situations. The IRS' toll free number is 1-800-829-0922.
