Spring Starts With A Thud

The "Vernal Equinox" on Saturday at 12:32 marks what many consider the official start to Spring.  That basically means the sun't most direct rays are directly over the equator at that time and will slowly migrate north as the year goes on.  That means longer days, more sunshine and warmer days ahead for us, yeah!

However, it's an upside down start to Spring.  Friday is the last full day of Winter, and it will be beautiful!  67 and partly to mostly sunny.  Then we get rain and colder Saturday for the start to Spring.  And it gets worse, Sunday is the first full day of Spring....but it won't feel like Spring.  Chilly and wet with a high of 41.  Rain off and on most of the day, may be heavy at times.

Snow? There is a chance for some snow to mix in at times Sunday.  Right now, Sunday evening looks like the best chance.  But it appears the warm ground should prevent any significant accumulation.  But we'll keep you posted if that changes.
