A couple of weather systems are taking aim on St. Louis over the next couple of days and that should result in our first snowfall of the season. Wednesday starts with cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 40s. Temperatures will fall during the day and we should begin to see some light rain by lunchtime. I expect the rain to change to snow by the evening commute. Snow should continue through the evening with local accumulations in the metro area near an inch. The ground is still pretty warm and most of the snow will melt but we could see some lingering snow into early Thursday morning. After that we will be in the grip of the coldest air of the season with lows in the 20s and highs in the 30s through Friday.
