I think we'll see some thunderstorms on Friday mainly from metro St. Louis westward. But my forecast focus most of this week has been another potent cold front on track to push through here late Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms are likely along and ahead of the front and some of the storms could be severe late Saturday into Saturday night.
The good news is the air behind this front, once again, is a little drier and a little cooler resulting in what should be a beautiful Sunday. In fact Sunday through Tuesday look like sunny days with below normal temperatures.
The long range temperature outlook (July 18 - 24) calls for above normal temperatures across the cetral part of the U.S.
