This is now the 3rd wettest year on record in St. Louis. Today's rain of 0.45" at St. Louis Lambert Airport puts our yearly precipitation total at 52.03". If St. Louis receives an additional 2.95" of rain and/or snow before the end of the year, it will be the westtest yer on record!

Below is a lost of the top 5 wettest years in St. Louis for records going back to 1870:

1)54.97" (1982)
2)54.76" (1993)
3)52.03" (2008)
4)51.65" (1984)
5)50.83" (1927)

Normal precipitation for December is 2.86", which is a cumulative of rain and melted snow water equivalent, not actual snow in inches. So it's very possible that this will become the wettest year on record. As always, we'll keep you posted. Other than some drizzle or a brief shower on Wednesday it looks like Friday is a good chance for scattered showers.

Templeton Out!
