And the numbers keep going up. The latest from the National Weather Service storm damage survey team shows preliminary results of nine tornadoes across our vieweing area from Sunday's storms. The reason the totals continued to rise is because it takes time to drive out and research the damage from the storms. Then after putting together the damage results and talking to witnesses, the weather service team makes their results available.

Now our attention turns to a possibility of more severe weather late this afternoon and evening. We expect to see some storms start to bubble up after 4pm and then move through the metro from 5pm to 8pm. Then the line of storms will is expected to move out of our Illinois counties by 10pm or shortly after. We'll keep you posted, check in to Channel 4 throughout the evening.
