With Steven Jackson out, Samkon Gado and Kenneth Darby again shared the reps at running back for the Rams.
Both looked more comfortable today, particularly Gado who showed a smooth burst on many plays. Gado also had better knowledge of where to be, avoiding bumping into teammates.
Jim Haslett stated that Gado will be part of the special teams this weekend, and Haslett himself got in the mix of coaching some of the techniques in some extended work with Gado after practice.
-Across the board, the defensive line won the battle today against their offensive counterparts in head to head drills of rushing the quarterback. Chris Long earned high praise from line coach Brian Baker for beating Orlando Pace on a couple of particular drills. James Hall was also very impressive against Jacob Bell.
-Travis Minor will have another neuro-pysch test tomorrow.
-Randy McMichael was again in attendance at practice.
-Practice squad WR Nate Jones had the catch of practice, using the tips of fingers to snap a long bomb off his shoelaces in full stride.
