Did you know about 20% of adults in the bi-state area are illiterate? They can't read a menu, a bus schedule or fill out a job application. Being able to read has an immediate impact on the quality of life.

Maybe you know someone who needs help - a friend, relative or maybe a child. Or maybe you want to volunteer to help someone learn the joy of reading. Together, we can change the world - one word at a time.

The Literacy Roundtable is a consortium of literacy service providers from the bi-state area.

Together with KMOV Channel 4, the St. Louis Rams and CHARACTER plus (a division of Cooperating School Districts), our mission is to support literacy through public awareness on literacy issues and to support the diverse services member agencies provide.
