Kaskaskia College
The Community Literacy Program provides literacy service to adults in
reading, writing or computing below the ninth grade level. In the Family
Literacy Program, children and parents receive literacy services jointly
to try to break the cycle of low literacy. The Workplace Literacy Program

Lewis & Clark Community College Project READ
Project READ is a literacy program that offers one-on-one instruction
in reading, math and English as a Second Language, as well as GED preparation
and workplace education, for adults 16 years or older not enrolled in
high school. The program serves the counties of Calhoun, Greene, Jersey,

Southwestern Illinois College Project READ
The program offers free, one-on-one tutoring for adults 16 or older interested
in improving their reading, writing or language skills. In addition to
the tutoring program, Southwestern Illinois College offers free pre-GED,
GED and English as a Second Language classes throughout the college district.

St. Clair County Regional Office of Education Adult Literacy Program
Individualized literacy services are available to adults who want to improve
