Air Quality Forecast

Air Quality St. Louis
Ground level ozone is hazardous to humans, while upper level ozone actually helps protect us from the suns ultra-violet rays. This “Ozone Aircast” has nothing to do with what is commonly called “the Ozone layer”, as that is in the upper portion of the atmosphere. We forecast ground level ozone as that can be hazardous, especially to those with respiratory problems. Ground level ozone is created when sunshine reacts with certain emissions, like car and industrial emissions. Because the sunshine is more intense in Spring and Summer, May through September is typically the season for forecasting potentially dangerous levels of ground level ozone. Our forecast will be updated by or before 4pm each day, forecasting for the next day. For more information, please visit http://www.cleanair-stlouis.com/
