Massage Oil and Soy Candle from Irie Star

Massage Oil Recipe

Organic Apricot Kernal Oil - 2 oz.

Organic Sweet Almond Oil - 2 oz

Organic Jojoba Oil - 4 oz.

Essential oil 80 drops or 4 ml -

Viewer's choice! Some suggestions: Lavender, Lemongrass, Tangerine, Neroli, Jasmine, Cedarwood, Rosemary

Mix and pour into clean bottles. Shelf life approximately 1 year.

Suggestions:

Look for cold pressed and expeller pressed oils. Do not use solvent extracted oils like Grape-seed Oil or Rice Bran Oil. These are commonly used in many massage oil recipes, but this exposes the skin to unnecessary chemical residue.

Does the recipient have a nut allergy? If so, substitute Sweet Almond Oil with Organic Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Soybean Oil etc.

Soy Candle Recipe

16 oz container candle soy wax (from online suppliers - search for "soy wax supplier" or "soy candle making supplies")

15 ml essential oil

cotton wick, wick clip

Melt wax in microwave or double boiler using heat tolerant container. Around 150 degrees wax will liquefy. Try not to overheat. Wax will crystallize slowly. Add essential oils between 135 and 120 degrees and pour into prepared container. Place wick and cool!
