As host of "Great Day St. Louis," Carol Daniel brings a wealth of experience to St. Louis' newest talk show. Since 1995, Carol has been an anchor, reporter and talk show host at KMOX Radio.

In addition to her work in television and radio, Carol is a weekly columnist for the St. Louis American Newspaper. In addition, her magazine column "Balancing Act" can be read in "Savvy Family" published by the Suburban Journal.

Carol volunteers her time and efforts to numerous organizations. She is a board member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, an advisory Board member of the Lambert Airport USO and Southeast Missouri State University Minority Affairs Council.

Carol is a member of New Life in Christ Interdenominational Church in O'Fallon, Illinois where she and her husband, Patrick, teach a couples class. They have two sons, 9-year-old Patrick and 5-year-old Marcus.

Hometown: Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri

Favorite vacation spot: We love Chicago and San Antonio, Texas (because my sister-in-law is a fantastic hostess)

Must-see TV show: anything on the Style Network and HGTV

Favorite shoe style: A patent leather sling back in any color but I need a red pair!

Are you more like your father or mother? I have my father's talkative ways and my mother's sense of humor, cooking skills, and love of grocery stores.

What was the name of your childhood pet? An alley cat named Thomasina! She fought the neighborhood dogs and won!

Which two people do you admire most? I admire so many people. My mother for raising five children who are successful and happy and my father-- he was deployed to Vietnam twice, Korea once, and Germany twice.

How did you meet your husband? We were on a semi-blind date, introduced by a mutual friend in Cape Girardeau. I thought he was 21 when we first met but we were both 30 years-old at the time.

Favorite St. Louis hang-out: There are too many to name one..... my own kitchen, the Central West End, St. Louis Zoo, any St. Louis Bread Company, my church and my brother's house when my sister-in-law makes her famous cake (yellow with milk chocolate icing)
