Job Description: KMOV-TV has an opening for an Anchor/Reporter. Strong anchor skills and several years experience anchoring a primary newscast required. Versatility in the field as a live reporter and great storyteller is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Gathers, writes and presents on the air material relating to the community, usually in the form of a news story segment on regular station newscast.
- Keeps up-to-date on news story developments of interest to viewers in the community and throughout the world.
- Maintains liaison with leading community figures in the area and to the extent possible nationwide.
- May present a limited amount of news commentary.
- To the extent time permits represents station in community activities and events.
- Will participate directly in production or promotional material relating to news.
- Ability to interact positively and productively with fellow employees.
- Shift varies depending on newscasts.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of television producing and editing.required.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required for on-air presentation and interaction with the public.
- Excellent reading skills are required for credible on-air appearance.
- Equipment knowledge includes but not limited to microphones, Teleprompter, cameras, recording equipment and editing equipment
Bachelors in Journalism
3-5 years anchoring experience

Job Description:
The Internet News Producer edits and rewrites news and information articles from KMOV-TV,
reports and writes additional news articles as needed, edits and packages photographs and other images with news coverage, and
updates Web site index pages as news warrants. The producer works closely with the KMOV.com News/Operations Manager and newsroom
managers and staff to coordinate coverage plans and ensure leadership in breaking news.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Write, rewrite, edit, produce and update site content, including news, public-interest information and special features.
- Find and add links to related stories and Web sites.
- Find and add other content to stories to enhance overall value to our visitors and support the efforts of our content partner, KMOV-TV
- Capture, edit, prepare and upload photos and videos for Internet use.
- Monitor daily news flow and track scheduled news events to ensure proper Internet coverage.
- Serve as a front-line point of contact with KMOV-TV reporters and news managers.
- Keep News/Operations Manager updated on daily news events and issues.
- Report, as necessary, from the field.
- Enterprise stories as time allows.

Job Description: KMOV-TV has an opening for a part time Host of a live, daily one-hour program expected to launch fall 2008. Candidates must possess easy and entertaining on-air communication skills. Knowledge of current events and familiarity with the St. Louis Community are a must. Responsibilities include reporting on the people and events as assigned. Many of these assignments include station clients and have specific sales strategy. Versatility and great storytelling is essential.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to host, report or appear live in a broadcast to deliver entertaining television in a professional and effective manner

- Read newspapers and magazines to maintain knowledge of entertainment and topical news and current events

QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree or comparable experience
EXPERIENCE
- Prefer three years hosting or anchoring experience in broadcast in small to large market.

Job Description:
KMOV-TV has a continuing opening for the position
of Broadcast Assistant. Some Knowledge of Broadcast news is preferred. Duties
include, but are not limited to, assisting producers and production assistants
in the various aspects of newscast preparation and operating the teleprompter
for those newscasts.
The Broadcast Assistant position is a temporary
13-week position and is offered on a rotating basis. Applicants must be flexible
as hours can include early mornings, afternoons and/or weekends.
