KMOV has an immediate opening for a Director of Sales. The Director of Sales is ultimately responsible
for achieving the station’s revenue goals on all media platforms, including new and developmental
business goals as well as interactive media revenue. Primary responsibilities of this position
include inventory pricing and control, administration of all sales and marketing functions,
overseeing traffic operations, and representing the company in any sales and marketing related
activities within the greater business community.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the sales and marketing strategies for KMOV, including inventory control and pricing
decisions for the station. Plans and develops means of achieving station revenue goals for both
broadcast and online. Must have the ability to cultivate senior level business relationships,
opening up new categories with creative thinking skills. The top candidate will have a track
record in recruiting and retaining top sales management and account executives, and preparing
revenue forecasts and budgets. Will also oversee the development of sales and marketing
research materials, and interface with the national rep firm.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Control and price the spot inventory of KMOV.
• Forecast and budget the spot revenue of KMOV.
• Achieve annual New business, Internet, and developmental budgets for KMOV.
• Interface with TeleRep on all matters related to national revenue.
• Provide top level station management with an accurate picture of KMOV’s revenue conditions at all times.
• Develops, or participate with station management team, in the development of the Strategic Marketing Plan for the company.
• Recruit, develop, and supervise the sales and marketing personnel of KMOV.
• Oversee various operations of the sales, traffic and sales research functions of the station.
• Represent KMOV in any external sales and marketing related industry functions.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in a business related field, MBA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in sales or broadcast management including leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Strong motivational, innovative and interpersonal skills, proven leadership ability to influence, develop and empower employees to achieve objectives.
• Demonstrable track record of success in managing sales people and related material resources.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Must have basic accounting and financial skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
• Ability to accurately forecast and budget revenues
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to interact productively and positively with management, peers, and employees.
• Ability to develop, maintain and grow outstanding client relationships and work in a highly collaborative culture.
• Adept at public speaking and conducting presentations.

Job Description:
KMOV has an immediate opening for a Backpack Journalist. Looking for someone who can present stories in live newscasts. Must be able to gather, investigate, log and write and APPEAR IN news stories, special reports, and series to be used on TV news programs and news specials. Must use creative and artistic talent to produce creative and original news stories and news features for inclusion in KMOV-TV news programming.
Must have the ability to work under pressure with assigned deadline. Ability to interact productively and positively with fellow employees. Should have journalism background. Should have good verbal abilities. Must be assertive. 3-5 years reporting and/or producing experience in a medium to major market. Excellent writing skills.

KMOV-TV has an immediate opening for a morning news producer.
The ideal candidate is a proven news producer with an aggressive and creative style. Must be innovative and you must be able and willing to make changes on the fly. This is a position where the ideal producer will be looking forward at today’s news instead of backward at what everyone else did the night before.
The ideal candidate will also have a strong news judgment and be able to handle breaking news situations. This is not a newscast for show stackers. This is a newscast for aggressive thinkers.

Job Description:
This full time position is responsible for generating new and different creative approaches for
promotion spots to meet the Station’s goals and objectives and executing approved concepts through the complete
production process.
Responsibilities/Duties
Writes, produces and edits station promotion to build ratings through flow and tune-in. Writes script for promotion on radio,
television, and cable. Executes all phases of pre- and post-production of such promos including art direction and editing on
non-linear editing systems. Areas of concentration include news, sports, and weather. Help, as needed, in all the operating
details for the department's activities. Ability to interact positively and productively with fellow employees.
Job Specifications
Bachelors in Mass Communications or Journalism with minimum four years experience in broadcast journalism and television
station production. High level of expertise in non-linear editing is required. Verbal communication skills necessary, especially
the ability to communicate with the applicable television audience. Experience in writing for the promotion of news and programming.
Natural ability to think creatively while maintaining composure under stress. Experience with newsroom computer systems preferred.

Job Description:
KMOV-TV has a continuing opening for the position
of Broadcast Assistant. Some Knowledge of Broadcast news is preferred. Duties
include, but are not limited to, assisting producers and production assistants
in the various aspects of newscast preparation and operating the teleprompter
for those newscasts.
The Broadcast Assistant position is a temporary
26-week position and is offered on a rotating basis. Applicants must be flexible
as hours can include early mornings, afternoons and/or weekends.
