Meteorologist Steve Templeton forecasts the weather for News 4 weekdays at noon and 6pm, and for the weekend early evening and 10pm newscasts. He joined the 4 Warn Weather Team in March of 2006. Steve’s no stranger to Midwest weather. After growing up near Chicago, Steve earned his degree in Atmospheric Science from Purdue University in Indiana. Steve started his TV meteorology career as Chief Meteorologist at the Fox affiliate KFXB-TV in Dubuque, Iowa before serving as the morning and noon meteorologist for the NBC affiliate WHO-TV in Des Moines, Iowa.

Steve is one of the first Meteorologists in the country to receive the Certified Broadcast Meteorology Seal from the American Meteorological Society. He also holds the Seal of Approval form the National Weather
Association.

Steve’s wife, Rebecca, is originally from the St. Louis area. Steve is thrilled to be near his in-laws in Nashville, Illinois, and is excited to be able to forecast the “wild weather of the Midwest” right here in St. Louis. Together Steve and Rebecca love to travel, attend baseball games and explore all the great restaurants that St. Louis has to offer.
